- March 7, 2024: Added and adjusted terms for many new games that were released in the last half-year, including Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, UNI 2, GBVS: Rising, and Guilty Gear Strive Season 3.
- Read 88 new comments and adjusted various terms.

- Made dark mode the default for first-time viewers of the site. You can still switch modes with the button next to the search bar on the main page.
- Added
?q=as a possible URL parameter, mostly for some bot applications. This will treat the query as if it was entered in the search bar (even if an exact matching term exists); for example,?q=safewill show "Safe" at the top but also display results for "Burst Safe", etc. By contrast, the normal?t=will show only one result if a direct matching term is found, and will do a search if one isn't found. - The March 2024 version of the site has 943 terms (+34), with 350 videos/images (+18) and 779 Japanese translations (+29).
- July 22, 2023: New terms for Street Fighter 6 (and a few others) have been added!

- February 9, 2023: Been a while since the last update, so this one was focused on cleaning up the comments backlog and adding new terms.

- You should now type double vowels (e.g., geemu instead of gēmu) when searching for romaji translations (although it still displays as gēmu).

- The February 2023 version of the site has 888 terms (+31), with 321 videos/images (+9) and 736 Japanese translations (+18).
- April 21, 2022: This update adds a few new terms and the ability to link to the glossary by letter or game.

- You can now middle-click on an index letter or game category and open it in a new tab (and also give that URL as a link for others to view by letter or game).
- Using arrow key left or right (when a video has focus) seeks a video by 5 seconds instead of 15.
- The April 2022 version of the site has 857 terms (+16), with 312 videos/images (+2) and 718 Japanese translations (+14).
- January 12, 2022: This update adds a dark mode with a few new terms and backfill videos.
- Read all 61 new comments submitted through the Contact page, which led to some fixes for old terms.

- October 7, 2021: This update largely focuses on adding Virtua Fighter and Melty Blood terms to the glossary, in addition to some other miscellaneous terms.
- Read all 126 new comments submitted through the Contact page, which led to many scattered fixes for existing terms. While a few other games besides VF and MB were suggested for addition, I had to pass on them this time in order to keep the workload manageable for this update.

- If you change a video's volume, new videos you open will now have that same volume instead of defaulting to 100% (it always starts at 100% when you first load the site, though).
- Fixed an error with parsing multiple '+' symbols out of certain URLs.
- The October 2021 version of the site has 825 terms (+57), with 301 videos/images (+32) and 695 Japanese translations (+47).
- July 7, 2021: This is the first big update of the glossary since launch! You may have to hard refresh your browser (ctrl+F5, not just F5) to see the changes. You can also try looking at the page in a private window.
- Read each of the 697 comments submitted through the Contact page while also searching for feedback on forums, Twitch, Youtube and Reddit. In the end, I made several hundred adjustments to existing terms. This includes adding clarity where something was confusing, fixes for mistakes in the definitions, typos, and more "alternate" term names for better search results.

- Added more hover tooltips to the navigation (for example, hovering over the "?" at the end of the letters now says you can click this to browse terms randomly).
- Made the border around the search box a little thicker so it's easier to see, and made it focus your cursor on page load so you don't have to click it to start typing a search.
- Added instructions for easy glossary searches in your browser to the Bot Integration page.
- The July 2021 version of the site has 768 terms (+95), with 269 videos/images (+53) and 648 Japanese translations (+71).
- May 23, 2021: Created a page for Twitch/Discord bot integration. Also slightly changed how links to other terms are handled so keyboard navigation is easier and middle-clicking to a new tab is possible.
- May 18, 2021: The glossary launches! The very first version of the site has 673 terms, with 216 videos/images and 577 Japanese translations. Project work started August 2020.
